Neon Light Effect

First open an image file. File > Open > image.jpg- Open

Click- Create a new layer (go to Layer > New > Layer > OK). It will appear as Layer 1 layer.

Select Brush Tool.

Go to Brush option at top left corner.

Set- Size: 10px and Hardness: 0%.


 

Set Foreground color: White

Foreground color: White

 

Select- Pen Tool

Select Layer 1 and draw a line in the image using pen tool.

After finishing drawing the line, click right button on the line, then click- Stroke Path.

 A Stroke Path window box will appear.

Select Tool: Brush and tick mark Simulate Pressure. Click OK.

Now click right button on Layer 1 then click Blending Options

At Layer Style window box, tick mark Outer Glow then change following settings-

    Blend Mode: Screen

    Opacity: 75%

    Noise: 0%

    Choose a blue color from color picker

    Spread: 2

    Size: 10

    Contour: Half Round

Click OK

Next select Eraser Tool and erase the specific parts of the line (neon light) in the image to make neon light effect more realistic.

Select Pen Tool. Click right button on the line (neon light) in the image then click- Delete Path.

Now you are done.
