How to create Wood Cutting Logo or Text Effect

Open a wood image file. File > Open > image.jpg- Open

Select Text Tool and set text color black.

Type a text on the wood image.

At text layer, set Fill: 25%

From layer blending option select- Color Burn.

Click right button on text layer then select Blending Options. A Layer Style window box will appear.

Tick mark ☑ Bevel & Emboss and change following settings-

    Technique: Chisel Hard

    Depth: 160%

    Direction: Down

    Size: 5px

    Highlight Mode Color Dodge

    Opacity: 50%

 

 

Now tick mark ☑ Inner Shadow and change following settings-

    Distance: 7px

    Choke: 30%

    Size: 5px

    Angle: 120°

Click OK

You have created a wood cutting text effect. From this part you can create logo effect easily.

Go to File > Place > open any logo image file in png format and click Place and open.

Hide the text layer (click eye icon on text layer).

From text layer click right button then click Copy Layer Style. Then select logo image layer, click right button on logo image layer and click Paste Layer Style.

You are done..
